Artist Statement

I don’t want the objects in my sculptures to lose their original form, I want the viewers to see them as a new creation. I want to make people smile and maybe look at my work and see that things are not always what they appear to be. I am often inspired by what I find, every piece of metal has the potential to become something more than itself.

Every once in a while, I stumble into a creation that makes a statement about politics or the social life in which we all live. I believe when this happens it comes from somewhere beyond myself and is a gift from the universe.

Sometimes being a found object metal artist is close to being a hoarder.
