Bio

I am Tom Flynn. I live in Rogers, Arkansas with my wife Susan. We recently moved to a smaller house with a bigger shop for my extensive found object metal collection.

After growing up in west Texas, I spent much of the first part of my life studying for the Catholic Priesthood and then as a Monk in a Benedictine monastery in New Mexico.

I've always been a creative person, brewing my own beer and playing several musical instruments; then started creating found object art in Austin, Texas in 1998.

In the last few years, my work has seen a slow shift into more abstract and symbolic sculptures often making a political or societal statement.

My public art installations are in Iola, Kansas, Rogers and Little Rock Arkansas, and my work can be seen in several art galleries around the state.
